A customer sends you a DXF at 7:40 pm on a Friday. In the classic workflow that email waits until Monday, someone opens the file, measures, calculates, writes the quote and sends it on Tuesday. Three days to say a number.

Instant quoting changes the story: the customer uploads the file and sees the price before letting go of the mouse.

What happens under the hood

  1. The geometry is read. Contours, holes and layers from the DXF. A STEP file is unfolded automatically: bends are counted, material and thickness detected, and multi-body files become one line per part.
  2. Real nesting. Parts are laid out on the sheet with an actual nesting engine, not an approximate grid — giving the exact material consumed for that specific quantity.
  3. The cut is timed. The engine walks the geometry using your machine's kinematics: speeds per material and thickness, small-radius slowdown, piercing, lead-ins and lead-outs.
  4. Everything else is added. Operating costs, setup, handling, bending, workshop operations, finishing and that customer's discounts.

Five ways to add a part

Not every customer has a DXF at hand, so there are five roads to the same place: upload the CAD file, draw it in the editor, take a photo of the real part and let AI rebuild it, describe it in words, or upload the PDF drawing — even a scan, with view detection and dimension reading.

What the workshop gains

Instant quoting is not only speed. It is that the price always comes from the same place: same parameters, same costs, same logic, whoever calculates it and at whatever hour. No more eyeballed quotes from whoever is in a hurry.

And there is a side effect nobody expects: when customers see the price immediately, they ask more. They try quantities, change thickness, check another material. Every one of those tries is a sale that previously never got requested.
